Slim pickin's on the photos lately. Can you believe it? I've been TERRIBLE about taking pictures. Yeah, me!

I was putting Liam in the car today after picking him up from daycare, and he started saying "da-deee...da-dee." Knowing that those syllables don't mean anything yet and that he doesn't KNOW what "daddy" really is, I said "yeah! Do you know who your daddy is?" Then I realized I was talking really loudly and that there were people around and they probably thought that question made it sound like mommy didn't know who the daddy is, either.

We had no idea, but they had a photographer at daycare a few weeks ago taking spring pictures. I swear, they take pictures once a season...all the time. So we get the proofs unexpectedly earlier this week. It was Liam with what appeared to be a stuffed bunny on his lap. Upon further inspection, I realized there was a distinct possibility that it could be a real bunny. I asked them the next day and confirmed that it was in fact a real bunny. I was actually surprised. I am very laid back - if you want to put a live bunny in my baby's lap, have it at! I just wonder if some of the more generally uptight parents feel the same way.

He was not happy in the bunny rabbit pictures, but I went ahead and bought the cheapest package. He WAS cute in his discontent, and it will save us the pressure of having to go get Easter Bunny pictures with some freaky stuffed bunny wearing a psychedelic vest and such.

I have Nancy Grace on as I write this. They always show video clips of little Caylee Anthony. I just want to take that girl and give her a big hug...and keep her and give her the love and the life she deserved.

I love my boy...have I ever mentioned that? I have always loved our time together when I rock him, read him 3 or 4 books, say our prayers, and then sing to him (poor kid). In the last week, once we turn the lights out (of course, it's EDT, so it's good and light out anyway), he has taken to sticking his fingers in my mouth or grabbing my nose and cracking up. So we just sit there and laugh with each other. I kiss him on the forehead and the nose, and he scrunches his face up and smiles at me. It's my favorite time of the day. Eventually he gets restless and wants to go play, so at that point I put in him the crib with 'Guin the Penguin, and 9 times out of 10 he goes to sleep nice and easily.

The last few weekend nights, after having put Liam to bed a couple hours prior (and with Andy working late), I really start to miss him. Around 10, I have been plucking him out of his crib and taking him into our room to cuddle with him while I watch TV. He keeps sleeping. It's really nice. Then I return him to bed when I am ready to go to bed, and he is none the wiser that I just totally used him to satisfy my cuddling needs.

Liam has also received a replacement Mel(bourne) the Bear. This one is green, and its name is Sydney. I am so happy, but I still get really sad when I go to Publix and think of the person who took Mel.

Anyway, I should go enjoy my Friday night...(when you're 27, married, and you have a child, "enjoy my Friday night" takes on a different meaning).

:) I am enjoying my Friday night as well. After a trip to 2 stores, screaming through the shower, and putting in ear drops we finally said our prayers and got in the bed. I love my time with Kaylee too - sometimes she is to wild to sit with me and sometimes she wants to cuddle. Enjoy your time - before you know it - he will be a little man!
