-I know I'm not the only one. Admit it...your parenting decisions are often less driven by the responsibility of keeping your children safe than by the prospect of your actions going viral on YouTube.
-I was just brushing my teeth trying to think of my next Facebook status (I know...). Not so successful there, but I did come up with an awesome idea for a website that could possibly get us set for life. I think I could manage to implement it, but I'm about 63% sure that the concept would be illegal.
-Liam has an innate and mature understanding of sentence structure. I know because he has begun speaking like Yoda. "Yummy it is."
-Macy has been regressing in her ability to Go to sleep quietly and sleep through the night last nigh we listened to her scream "YEAH-EEEEEEE!!!" over. And over. And over again from 3am to 4am. I don't know what's up. We've decided to go in there once to give her a drink of water, but that's it. Hopefully soon she'll be referberized, and I can get back to melatonin, rather than sleep-deprivation, as my sleep aid of choice.
-I know I owe my faithful readers a blog about our recent paint job. I don't want to get into it too far, but basically we had our two upstairs bathrooms painted by a company that has done good work for us twice in the past. It turned out beyond awful. To the point where the QA guy who came out to address our complaints was like "yeah, I can see why you wanted us to come out. He did a really bad job." The guy also ruined one of our bath mats on the first run and the other on the second (they replaced them) and bled on our blinds. They were really great about wanting to make things right (though I should have withheld payment till the last couple items I wanted addressed were fixed, as I have not heard. Ack since paying). It looks much better now. I do, however, regret the color I chose for the kids' bathroom. I was going for a nice neutral but ended up with what reminds me of our last dingy apartment.
-Uggggggh....Macy is screaming again. Need some kairos right about now!
-Speaking of noise, I absolutely love listening to Liam talk. Do you feel a "but" coming on? BUT...his voice is so high-pitched when he starts rambling, and I have many years of damage due to multiple piccolos in confined spaces under my belt. Every syllable sends an in-stereo bolt of static through my ears. I'd love to figure out how to fix that so I don't feel the urge to plug my ears at the sound of my child's sweet voice.
-The alarm is set, and the bag is packed for the Y. Somehow this mitigates the inevitable guilt that I will experience when I reset the alarm at 10 til 5 and roll back over.
