Well, Macy has made it to that point where she's been out as long as she was in. Wait, I take that back...maybe we have a little more time till then considering my babies like to stay in closer to 14 months!
It's amazing how much more quickly 9 months of parenthood goes than 9 months of pregnancy. At the same time, that first month or two seems like it was picked up out of this universe and dropped into another...the memory remains, though it's like it happened but it didn't happen all at the same time. It's really hard to explain - it's just so much change and surreality crammed into one small period of time that it feels a little removed from your actual life.
It's funny. I didn't start doing this because I have a ginormous baby. When I started tracking Macy's size as compared to her brother, she was in th 49th percentile for weight. The good news, however, is that in the last two months she has become slightly less Amazonish compared to other 9-month-old girls! So here goes:
Macy at 9 Months:
Height: 29 1/4 in. (92nd percentile)
Weight: 22.7 lbs. (95th percentile)
HC: 18 1/4 in. (96th percentile)
Liam at 9 Months:
Height: 29 1/2 in. (85th percentile)
Weight: 22.2 lbs. (75th percentile)
CH: 18 3/4 in. (97th percentile)
It seems that their 9-month snapshots are the most similar to each other so far. They are within 1/2 an inch or pound of each other in all areas.
Now Liam's rockin' the 60th percentile in weight and 65th in height, so he's just right. He's a little skinny and awkward with his BMI in the 43rd percentile. He's so cute in PJ's because his legs are like toothpicks, and his little butt can't be more than 6 inches across. Maybe when he quits being such a picky eater, he'll beef up a bit.
Nothing terribly exciting to say today, so I might just cut my losses (and yours, if you have made it this far) and sign off now.
