A Tribute to the Bucket

Oh, Bucket. It is time. You have been with us for 7 2/3 months, since 7.5 pounds...

...through 22 or 23 pounds...

You could theoretically take us for another 12-13 pounds, but it is time...

I have been wanting to ditch the bucket for a couple months now. I HATE the bucket. Liam was out of the bucket the day he could sit up in a cart on his own. I don't know what it is this time that's made me procrastinate the transition. I guess it's just the fact that I will never have a baby in a bucket anymore. Nothing says "I'm the mom of a baby!" quite like bucket ownership.

You know you do it - you see a bucket and just can't help but turn around and get a closer look at what's inside. Sure, you get a little disappointed when you see a chunk who's pushing One instead of a brand new peanut, but at least you could get your hopes up for a little while.

Seriously, though. I know that Macy + the bucket is about 40 pounds, which I suppose isn't a lot, but it feels like about 200. It's time for my baby to take that next step towards growing up and get a Big Girl Car Seat (aka, Another Hand-Me-Down From Big Brother).

In other news, Happy Birthday, sweet Liam! This is what a 3-year-old looks like:

I can't believe it's been three years. I love him so freaking much! SUCH a blessing!
