I still don't know how to title my posts. On second thought, maybe this is a good thing. One less area where my lack of creativity will shine through.
If you have not been keeping up with my Facebook statuses, or if you have to this point refused to care, I...AM...TIRED!!! I have been afflicted with a bout of insomnia that started last Wednesday night. Part of it was that I had things on my mind, and the other part was that my heart was beating really hard. Not so much fast, just hard. Finally I think Friday night I must have Googled the condition around 3 in the morning and found that a glass of water should help. Lo and behold. Would have been nice to know this a couple days, or at the very least, a couple hours, sooner.
I *survived* the LSU game. Maybe it was a blessing - My main concern was getting through the day and into my bed, not so much on winning. At least one of those goals was successful. That night I slept 8 solid hours with only one bathroom break. On any normal night of my life, I usually take about three. Now Liam's sick, and getting up with him in the middle of the night gets me wide awake, and I can't go back to sleep. UGGGGH.
Of course, the frequency with which we watch the Sesame Street Sing-along (circa 1987) DVD with Liam DOES NOT HELP. When I'm not distracted by my heart or thinking about some long road ahead, I have "doing the...mmm mmm....pigeon, doing the...mmm mmm...pigeon...," "cheep cheep, chirp chirp, cheer up, cheer up, cheer up!," or "we all sing with the same voice, the same song, the same voice" running through my head.
The last one is the greatest. Here we have all these geeky kids on a playground singing "we all sing in the same voice" and "my name is you." I was glad to know that communism was thriving even in 1987 children's programming.
What tops it all, though, is this kid who obviously does not make it through the school day without getting beaten up anyway who lip-synchs the line "when I'm by myself at night, I hold my teddy tight." Oh, poor, poor child.
I recommend this if you need a hearty laugh. I believe that I remember some of these clips from childhood, but I am definitely watching them through a different set of eyes now.
I have succeeded in killing time up until "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant" comes on, so I am off.
