In case you can't tell in the previous blog's pic, that's Kris Durham, Matthew Stafford, Freddie, Shaun Chapas, and then Bryce Dykes, who went to Norcross with Fred and plays for Tech. We do have a version of it where Matthew and Freddie are not being gay.

It turns out Liam has strep. We could tell something wasn't right through the night because he kept waking up every hour or so crying in pain. He was running a fever, so I brought him in today. This is strep number 2 for the year - if he gets it 4 more times before May of next year, they'll consider taking out his tonsils.

I'm sure it has something to do with being exposed to other kids all day, but I am ok with that. I don't want to shelter him from germs - I'd prefer to build his immune system.

He slept on me today for an hour and 45 minutes (it's great because it forces me to sit down and relax). Now he is sleeping on our big comfy chair across the room.

I am trying to think of things that I didn't really think about till after having Liam that I think everyone should have...I have a few:

- Pack n Play sheets. You don't really think about the effects of spit-up on your nice stuff. It's nice to be able to wash it.
- Formula dispensers - you know, those little circular containers with three compartments and a flip top thing. At night, we fill a few bottles with water and pre-measure the formula into that thing so we don't have to keep coming downstairs to fill up.
- Sam's membership card.
- Mighty Tite car seat belt tightener...a must if you don't have LATCH. Try once to install a car seat base tight enough and level (which you don't know till you've completed the entire process) and with the locking clip in place, and you will understand.
- A digital camera memory card with LOTS of space.
- Rubber bibs - the kind that the baby can't smear all over his face when there's food all over it.

Hmm...come to think of it, there's not a whole lot that you really NEED. There's so much freaking STUFF out there for babies. So much of it is so unnecessary and costs money and takes up space.

I really wish we never had the bucket car seat. I wish we had just gotten the Evenflo car seat or another one that'll last from birth to the time he's out of a car seat. It's getting heavier and heavier by the day, and I find myself leaving the bucket in the car and just carrying Liam. It's much more painless.

Well, baby's awake, so I think it's time to stop mindlessly blogging.
