This is awesome...Northside has WiFi...so I can blog and use the Internet and stuff to pass the time. It's a bit difficult with an IV stuck in my hand. That's the worst place for it because no matter what angle your hand is at, the needle seems to be poking some wall of your vein. I guess I should get used to it because it'll be in there till the baby is born.

So I will do my best to type out a blog or two during this process.

It's not quite what I expected for tonight. I thought maybe I would just get the stuff that they're supposed to give me overnight and get to sleep in my own PJ's. Apparently they couldn't give me the gel because I am contracting too often (Braxton Hicks, not labor contractions), so they had to hydrate me real good to see if the contractions would stop.

I'll also get to spend the night hooked up to the fetal monitor and the contraction monitor. My hourly trips to the bathroom should be fun then! I have actually been procrastinating that quite a while...sometimes you don't really have to go that bad, but the baby just keeps squirming all over your bladder.

Today I washed baby clothes, and running them through the dryer is so freaking loud. All the snaps and overalls buckles and all that stuff. You just hear this constant banging of metal against metal. That is only the beginning!!

Anyways, maybe I'll go try my luck at unhooking myself from all the monitors for a moment...I'll see if I can write a blog or two during the labor process...I'm sure I'll be bored enough :)

The IV sucks. That and the blood pressure cuff.

Congratulations! I hope you have a quick and easy labor. Can't wait to see pictures and find out the name of your baby boy!
