So this is why I can read about one post on the February Leap Frogs chat room and be DONE. The topic was something about how and when to transition your child from formula to real milk (cow's milk). Legitimate enough. Here was one of the responses:

"starting "real milk"? I did that the first hour he was born.

but you are talking about the start of cow's milk, I know, I know."

This is the kind of self-righteousness that just drives me bonkers. This was literally the first thread I read today (and the first I have read in a long time), and I'm done for the night.

Anyways.

I think I knocked on my wood-looking desk last night that probably is not even close to being real wood. Liam woke up at 4:30 and started screaming...not crying, but literally screaming...he would scream for about 2 seconds at a time, rest for a couple seconds, scream again. Finally Andy said he was getting up (it's like a staring contest - who will give in first? I win every time). It became apparent that Liam was going to be the most persistent of the three of us. I asked Andy politely to please not give him a bottle because that's what we're REALLY trying to get away from.

I heard through the baby monitor Andy singing "Rockabye Liam" in the most croaky, "I-just-woke-up-and-have-no-vocals" voice I have ever heard. It was so adorable. It made my heart melt.

Well, I am off to bed now to get some kind of sleep before he wakes up at 4:30 again :)
