I finally dropped something edible under my desk at work today, requiring me to finally crawl under there and pick it up, along with the rest of the stuff that has fallen into the black hole. It used to be easy...not so much anymore. I am perfectly content allowing it all to amass under there until I get back from leave when the baby comes. It is much easier to go to the supply closet and get another highlighter than it is to bend over and pick the one up that fell under my desk...

I have never quite understood why they would flavor a prenatal vitamin. Every night I dread the moment that I have to swallow my vanilla-coated PNV and the few seconds that follow where I can still taste it. They should know how fickle a pregnant woman's tastes are. I think that I would much rather swallow something that tastes like vitamin than that artificial vanilla. I don't know what it is.

I did get a Rx for different vitamin that didn't have any taste. It doesn't have DHA, so I have to get some type of OTC supplement. It's just a matter of getting over my laziness and actually going to the pharmacy.

I had my baby shower on Sunday. It was very nice, and now baby G has SO MUCH STUFF. He is not at a loss for baby towels. I went back into the registries and trimmed out some of the stuff we don't really need (how much of it do we really NEED anyway?) so that stuff that we really need remains.

I'm psyched we got the car seat. It's all ready to go with the cozy Snuzzler in it. We have car seats coming out our ears now. My little brother had the same car seat from the day he came home from the hospital to the day he graduated out of a car seat. Now we're so convinced that we need so many...what ever would we do??

Last night the baby got the hiccups for the first time. Since then he has gotten them 3 times. I guess though that I am more prone to the hiccups the same day or the day after I have gotten rid of a case of them. Fun. I at least knew where his head was when he was hiccuping - still down.

Tomorrow will be 29 weeks. That means 11 to go...hopefully fewer - like 9 :) I am sure that he has his own plans and will come when he pleases. You know I will be at that Italian restaurant (the name escapes me right now) as soon as I hit 37 weeks eating the eggplant parmesan. Legend has it that this eggplant induces labor within hours of eating it, and that's where many a woman ends up once she has reached her due date. That will be me.

The restaurant is Scallini's but they are owned by Provino's so they make the same eggplant parm. It won't work at 37 weeks-to early. I went the evening before my due date and my water broke 10 hours later. Most of my friends went early and all they got were braxton hicks. BTW you get a little Scalini's shirt and free dinner for two if you have the baby within 48 hours of eating there-Provino's will honor it as well.

I bet if I ate eggplant anything, something is bound to come out of me in 48 hours as well. Yuck.

But hey, maybe I can still swing for a t-shirt on the deal?
